Trail: Cascais
Micro Trail
Owing to its relevance to the subject (it makes the connection between three lighthouses), its natural beauty and touristic interest, this short pedestrian trail in the Cascais area is a must. We have prepared a Micro- Trail (6,4 km) that is a very easy walk following flat ground and that allows to make the connection between the Cabo Raso and the Sta. Marta lighthouses, passing by the Guia lighthouse.
This non-circular Micro Trail starts at the Cabo Raso lighthouse and follows the pedestrian lane towards Cascais. It offers beautiful views: the cliffs and the sea on the right side and the dunes of the Sintra-Cascais natural park on the left. Then the trail goes through the lovely and fully restored Forte de S.Jorge de Oitavos, the Guia lighthouse and ends at the Santa Marta lighthouse museum.
