Here time is more valuable

The Duas Quintas restaurant, located at Quinta D’Além in the Ribaldeira village and close to the N248 that goes from Runa to Dois Portos, is a new gastronomic project that is to be found in a 19th century building, which is part of the Quinta da Galharda development. “Time” was the concept on which this project was built.

In fact, from the architecture to the decoration, with the huge old photos depicting familiar day-to-day activities that are strategically hanging on the white walls, everything takes us from past to present and back in a perfect atmosphere of sophistication and well-being.

From the starters to the desserts, this time harmony is also present in an unpretentious combination of traditional cuisine and contemporary originality.

The grouper and shrimp noodles, the codfish with maize bread and baked potatoes, the duck with honey and walnuts the cuscus and the ratatouille are high quality dishes.

For a happy end, try the “pêra avinhada” (red wine poached pear) wrapped in brick pastry and served with chocolate sauce.

As to the wines, a regional wine is a good option.

The service is competent, attentive and extremely helpful. Table reservation is advised.
